Public Sector Excellence Awards programme 2019

Message from Jo Cribb, IPANZ President

After twenty years of running a Public Sector Excellence Awards programme, the IPANZ Board has decided that it is time to pass the leadership of the Awards to the State Services Commission (SSC). As the public sector’s lead agency, it is appropriate and desirable that SSC should take the lead in running an Awards programme. IPANZ will therefore step down from running the Awards in 2019. IPANZ supports and encourages the Commission’s interest in the Awards and the focus on celebrating the work of the public service and public servants.

IPANZ will work with SSC to ensure a smooth transition, with a formal hand-over to occur at the 2018 Awards ceremony, on 25 July 2018.

IPANZ role has traditionally been to innovate and initiate new thinking. With this in mind, IPANZ intends to develop a series of new initiatives for launch in 2019 and looks forward to working with SSC and other partners on new innovations.
