Public Sector journal

Public Sector is New Zealand’s leading publication for everyone with an interest in public administration, public management and policy making.

The quarterly journal canvasses the issues, the trends, the people, places and policies making news. It includes in-depth articles, opinion pieces and reports on new and emerging developments in central and local government.

All members and subscribers receive copies of Public Sector and can review past copies online.

Publications

Spirit of Service is a history of the Institute of Public Administration New Zealand written by John Martin an IPANZ Fellow and Life member. Spirit of Service is an interesting look at not only IPANZ’s history, but also New Zealand’s political environment and public service over the past 70+ years. Download an order form.

Papers and presentations

Each year IPANZ hosts a series of lunchtime and evening seminars where some of today’s leading experts and practitioners discuss various issues facing the public sector today. Many of the papers from these seminars are available to our members through our online archive
