IPANZ New Professionals - a new generation of public sector professionals

IPANZ New Professionals (NPs) provides professional development events and informal social networking for people in government jobs. These events provide opportunities for NPs to meet new people, forge links between agencies and build the public sector of the future.

Our current membership is around 300 people from across the wider public sector. Individual IPANZ membership is recommended,  so that you can get your own copy of Public Sector magazine delivered quarterly and discounts to some paid events. NP events are generally free, with some priced competitively on a "pay to play" basis.

Join our NP email list for free by emailing us newprofessional@ipanz.org.nz, and keep up-to-date with the latest news and events for New Professionals.

About IPANZ New Professionals

The NPs group was founded in 2002. It provides the platform and opportunities for debate, networking and information gathering for the next generation of leaders, thinkers and policy shapers in the public sector. We provide a range of seminars and workshops of interest to a wide spectrum of public sector professionals, focusing on topics that will help to make the difference for both the individual and, by extension, their organisation.
As part of IPANZ, the NPs group recognises the need to continue to build capacity in the public sector, to the appropriate mechanisms in place throughout the public sector to attract and retain competent career focused public sector professionals.
NPs events are generally aimed at, (but not limited to), people around 18-39 or who are early to mid-career, working in a government job (central govt, local council, state owned enterprise, school, etc).

New Professionals group values:

  • Leadership
  • Openness
  • Ethical Behaviour
  • Informed Debate
  • Responsiveness
  • Professionalism
  • Independence
  • Fellowship
