The current IPANZ Canterbury branch was originally formed as a New Professionals network in October 2006, following the inaugural New Professionals Conference in Wellington.
Since then, we have focused on developing and growing a successful Canterbury network by organising a number of free seminars, aimed at providing professional development and networking opportunities for our members. These have been well supported and received, with an average of 25 attendees at each.
In 2009 we broadened our focus from being a New Professionals network, and now encompass all Canterbury-based public service professionals under the expanded banner of IPANZ Canterbury. In addition to our quarterly seminar series, we are planning to include workshops and social gatherings in the range of events we run for our members in future.
